My Vision

Commercial Growth

Rebuilding Trust in Our Local Government

Rebuilding Trust in Our Local Government

The rising needs for public safety, infrastructure, and economic development, along with the ongoing growth of our school district, place a substantial financial burden on the homeowners of Aledo.

To alleviate this burden, we must focus on fostering commercial growth that aligns with our community's values and needs. This growth should emphasize the establishment of quality, family-oriented retail shops and restaurants, creating spaces where residents can shop, dine, play, and unwind right here in Aledo. We aim to attract visitors from neighboring communities, including Walsh, Willow Park, Morningstar, and the Annettas.

To uphold our high community standards, it is essential to implement economic development incentives and actively engage quality commercial partners. By nurturing a robust and diverse local economy, we can effectively reduce the tax burden on Aledo homeowners and enhance the overall quality of life in our community.

Our government must embody transparency and accountability to align with the core values we have established in our community. It is essential to encourage communication and actively seek input from our citizens, ensuring a two-way dialogue.

Utility billing should be straightforward and reliable; more importantly, you should not have to second-guess the accuracy of your bills.

We aim to foster a work environment that not only attracts employees to Aledo but also encourages them to thrive as a cohesive and dynamic team. City Hall should not be the focal point of gossip or speculation; rather, our community should shine through its own successes, with City Hall dedicated to serving our citizens at the highest levels.

Your voice matters, and I am committed to addressing your concerns. If elected mayor, I promise to diligently seek solutions and provide you with the answers you deserve. As your public servant, I will work tirelessly for you.

Public Safety

Rebuilding Trust in Our Local Government

Strengthening Our Infrastructure

Ensuring safety and protecting the property of our citizens is the utmost priority of our government. As we continue our journey toward establishing Aledo's Police Department, we must ensure we remain financially responsible. In the meantime, we need to collaborate with our community partners—Aledo ISD and the Parker County Sheriff’s Department—as we lay the groundwork for our own law enforcement department.

As our city continues to grow, we must also focus on meeting the needs of its aging infrastructure. Even with prior expenditures, critical issues remain, such as the replacement of lead pipes in Lasater Addition and the relocation of the water lines along FM 1187 to accommodate road expansion.

We must consider solutions to maintain traffic flow while ensuring the safety of our residents and children walking to and from school. It is essential that we have an honest discussion about Old Tunnel Road to assess the viability of expanding the tunnel under the railroad tracks.

Quality of Life

Transparency in Public Service

Investing in our local businesses and services and developing strategic partnerships with our community stakeholders are key to preserving the spirit of the "Aledo Way." You deserve peace of mind, believing Aledo can be your permanent home rather than just a place to stay until your children graduate.

The 242 acres of Dean Ranch, our community's "front door," is currently in jeopardy and has requested to leave our ETJ. Resolving this important issue is imperative, as it promises significant commercial and residential growth without placing financial burdens solely on homeowners.

Also, it is time to restore our Parks and Recreation Board and revisit the former plans for Aledo Commons, all while continuing to develop our trail system. Our kids and families should be able to find fun and adventure right outside their front doors.

Lastly, your tax contributions are an investment in our community. I pledge to be transparent, honest, and diligent, ensuring every dollar is spent responsibly and used to foster growth without fraud. Your investment supports local businesses, projects, and initiatives that enhance the unique “Aledo Way of Life,” and I promise to earn your trust every day I am Mayor.
